Phaseshift was founded by a team of scientists, engineers, and industry leaders with deep expertise in photonics, quantum science, and advanced optical engineering. With decades of collective experience, the team has contributed to numerous patents and a substantial body of peer-reviewed research spanning areas such as quantum optics, nanophotonics, and integrated photonics.
The founding team combines strong academic training from leading global universities and research institutions with experience in strategy, finance, and operations gained at top international organizations. This unique blend of scientific depth and industry perspective enables Phaseshift to transform cutting-edge metasurface research into practical, high-performance technologies for next-generation optical systems.
Our Team
Over 8 years of experience in quantum computing and integrated photonics. Currently serves as CEO and Founder of Phaseshift, leading the company’s technical vision and commercialization strategy.
Over 18 years of experience in nanophotonics, nano-fabrication, integrated quantum optics, and R&D. Currently serves as Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge and has previously worked at prestigious institutions including NIST and the Army Research Lab.
17 years of experience spanning strategy, operations, and customer experience, with a proven track record of driving innovation across diverse industries and markets. He has held senior roles at leading organizations including Google, BCG, and GIC, where he led strategic initiatives and advised CXOs on strategy implementation. His expertise spans business development, corporate finance, and operations excellence.
Extensive experience in optical theory, modeling, simulation, and experimental validation. Currently serves as VP Engineering at Phaseshift. Previously worked at prestigious institutions including the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and NIST.

Extensive experience in optical design, simulation, and device development. Currently at Phaseshift, leading India operations and business development. Previously worked at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on metasurfaces and developed a submicron printing DLP based lithography system
Over 25 years of experience in sales and strategy for deeptech companies. Serves as Advisor to Phaseshift, bringing extensive expertise in scaling photonics and semiconductor businesses. Deep tech growth hacker with proven track record.
Over a decade of experience spanning integrated photonics, nanophotonic device engineering, and advanced nanofabrication. Currently serves as Senior R&D Scientist at Phaseshift. Previously worked at College of Charleston and Weddell Technologies.
